A member asked:

Is it important for newborns to be bottlefed by people other than the mother?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not really: The newborn can recognize the face, voice, and smell of its mother. The only reason for others to feed the baby is that sometime the mother may not be around to give the bottle. Both infant and adult feeder need to learn how each other responds to such feeding. Don't forget dad in the equation!
