Ice bath: Well, technically a quick shock to the body with ice on the head can break you out of palpitations of the supra ventricular tachycardia type. Also try bearing down like you are going to have a bowel movement or coughing. This may help too. If it persists, see an MD please.

May be: the cold sometimes will "shock" the body since it is very cold and the palpitations will stop but not always If you are having palpitations which are not stopping see your provider if you have chest pain with them then go to ER immediately Palpitations can be caused by many factors go and be tested
