Can food cause c diff? like if beef you buy that had antibiotics? or processed foods?

Unlikely: If you consume contaminated food it could. Mostly it comes from medical treatment of infection with antibiotics that alter the normal balance of bacteria in the intestines allowing C Diff to grow unchecked. Hope this was helpful. Best of luck. Dr R

Contamination: Food can be contaminated with c.diff bacteria and contribute to it's spread. There presently isn't a clear link between antibiotic use in beef and c.diff proliferation, but in theory it's possible, just as there is some suggestion of antibiotic use in beef and the spread of drug resistant bacteria.
