ENT consult: Persistent sinus symptoms greater than 3 months indicates the possibility of chronic sinusitis with or without underlying allergic rhinitis. Prolonged treatment with antibiotics, mucolytics and nasal saline may be indicated. Additionally an Otolaryngologist(ENT) may order a sinus CT scan and possibly allergy testing.
