Black skin spots: Without a picture, it is hard to say. These could be many things, including benign nevus, seborrheic keratosis, or solar lentigos (due to sun exposure), to name a few. These do not usually scab up unless irritated/scratched. Basal cell carcinoma (a low grade type of skin cancer) can be pigmented. If there are irregular borders and coloration with bleeding or bump, this should be seen by MD
