I took tricyclen low birth control pill on different times of the day for two days.does that mean the pill is not going to be effective?

It's ok: Full BCP's like Tri-cyclen (as opposed to progesterone only "mini-pill") are more forgiving. So, as long as you did take a pill every day you are ok. If, on the other hand, you forget to take the pill for 2 days in a row then it's recommended to use a back-up method for the rest of the cycle (while resuming to take one pill a day).
