Seek consult: I would recommend you see either an orthopedic surgeon or a neurosurgeon as you may have a problem with a disc in your neck. I sounds suspicious for a "pinched nerve" or herniated cervical disc. A physical examination and possible a MRI would be helpful. Short term medication and physical therapy are often all that is needed for resolution of your symptoms.
