Lifelong: Polio vaccine is given in a schedule at 2,4,15 and 48 months of age. After that no more polio vaccines are given. It can be expected that at time you have life long immunity(after age 18 years) and do not need to be re-vaccinated. It is recommended that adults who travel to areas where polio is prevalent get vaccinated again.
