A member asked:

Can you get pregnant even if you had your period ? im on bc so im not sure

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unfortunately yes: Vaginal bleeding whether on time (an apparently normal period) or at an unexpected time in your cycle can occur even if you are pregnant . If you are taking some contraceptive pills as a means of preventing pregnancy, you may still unfortunately (not too often) get pregnant. Consult your gynecologist or clinician regarding your personal risks and how to reduce them.
