Dental caries: Yes...this is called referred pain. It happens quite often. That is why a thorough dental examination is needed including proper X-rays to ensure treatment is rendered on the tooth that is causing your pain.

Yes: This would occur on the same side of your face. The maxillary and mandibular nerves share a common origin. Pain from one jaw may be felt on the other. Please have your teeth examined by a dentist.

Yes.: Yes, not common but possible. If the cavity in the lower jaw is treated, the upper tooth pain should dissipate.
