Yes: Yes, it is possible to develop allergy to your pets including dogs. We are allergic to its proteins found in the saliva, skin flakes, dander, urine and sweat glands. Hairy or less hairy dogs both carry those proteins so you would be allergic to all breeds. Despite popular opinion, there are no true hypoallergenic dogs. It does not spontaneously disappear. Allergy shot could help you tolerate it.
