Irritation: How long has the cut been open for? Certainly, wearing a pad for over a month can cause skin irritations and ulcers. Have you tried using a tampon? This may not be your preferred choice, but if it fixed your problem, then you have your answer. If it does not, then see your doctor. You may have an infection or skin lesion that requires biopsy.
