Growth: Growth height stops somewhere between age 16 and 20. Once growth stops the bone structure will increase for a few years. The bone structure will not grow further but the strength will improve over the next few years.

Depends: Growth (height) will continue until the growth centers in bones fuse. These growth centers or growth plates are where new bone formation occurs. The hormones of puberty accelerate this activity but also push finalization of the process. An x-ray of the wrist/hand can show the stage of growth center closure. When it shows a "bone age" of over 18 in males growth has stopped.
