Depends on the cause: Facial redness without other rash could be due to many things and what your doctor can or cannot do depends on the cause of the problem. Sometimes redness can be due to histamine release and this causes flushing which can be treated with antihistamines. Eryroderma (red skin) without itching can be many things and sometimes requires a biopsy for correct diagnosis.
