Rest: may rest for max 2 wks, warm water shower, massage. then may start start light passive exercises. Alleve 400 mg 2x a day may help.

Calf pain: Are you on any medications? With muscular injuries it is rest ,elevate, if pulse is intact-ice 5-10 minute on 55-50 minutes off 3-4 x/day then after 24 hours alternate ice with warm soaks. Try epsom salt soak for leg, kinesiotape, massage. Discuss with doctor and check it is not vein clot or artery blockage, for which ice may not be best,nor is massaging for a clot , may be bakers cyst as well.
