Epinephrine: Could be an reaction to the epinephrine in the local anesthesia, which can promote increased heart beat, etc. May also possibly be stress or anxiety from the appointment. Ask questions and consider having a non-epinephrine based local anesthetic.

Injections: May be allergic or untoward reaction to one of the components in the anesthetic. Inform your Dentist. Dentist may want to use a different anesthetic next time, or may want to refer you to an Allergist for evaluation.
