Several possibilities: Lightheadedness is not an otologic problem. Vertigo often is. Why have you been at age 34 on prolonged bed rest? Lightheadedness is the result of either a hypotensive problem, a hyperventilation problem, or some medical problem leading to lack of oxygen getting to the brain. I would consult both a cardiologist and a neurologist to answer your question.
