Hypothyroid: If you have hypothyroidism you should not need thyroid gland removal. What you do need is proper dosing with thyroxine. You should have your thyroid levels measured every 2-3 months till everything is stable. You might also want to check your pulse rate at bedtime. If the rate is slow you are likely not taking enough. If your pulse is fast, either you are taking too much or there is another reason
