Damage vs risk: I suppose you mean natural, like my great grandmother; at home no meds, with a midwife.If baby was too big& got hung up during delivery, mom & baby often died. I have seen a mom deliver a 11&1/2 lb baby vaginal with the assistance of the ob, an episiotomy & lots of help.Plan for the worst (fetal distress) but hope for the best, you should come out somewhere in between.
