Positive LH test: A positive urine ovulation test is a marker of increased levels of the hormone LH (lutenizing hormone) in the urine. High LH levels occur not only with ovulation but also in some PCOS women with high LH levels or even daily in menopausal. A chronically high LH test usually means there is an LH hormonal imbalance and is not helpful as an ovulation marker.
