Yes, however...: I question the need to take probiotics the rest of your life. Once you have re-established healthy flora it should be maintained by a healthy diet (which can include yogurt/sauerkraut & other foods with friendly flora). But I'd be very cautious to take antibiotics only when absolutely essential & be careful in the choice of antibiotics. Take large doses of probiotics during & after antibiotic Rx.

Kefir is an excellent and natural probiotic that should be considered for your diet -- usual brands have about 100x as much probiotics as yogurts that advertise as being probiotic. Kefir also has calcium, phosphorus, B vitamins, and protein. Some forms have dairy, some do not (water based) so safe for lactose intolerant. I've tried it - can be very tasty!
