A member asked:

I have lots of moles on the right side of my body from face to thigh, but the left side is normal, is there any explanation for this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Minor mystery: I've seen photos of rashes, metastatic disease, and tendency to marks involving one side strikingly and utterly sparing the other. This must be the result of a mutation that happened to one of your cells when you were two-cells big -- or something similar, a somatic mutation. We don't know what it is, but I wouldn't worry and instead enjoy being a curiosity. Best wishes.
