Control not cure: Many cases of non-allergic rhinitis may respond to nasal antihistamine spray. My personal belief is that many cases of non-allergic rhinitis may well be allergic from locally produced allergy antibodies against airborne allergens (this condition has been documented) but with negative prick skin test results. Thus a trial with inhaled steroid or Singulair (montelukast) should be considered also.
