PREGNANCY: The pelvic ultrasound result about the pregnancy is not always right. Caution should be taken in telling the mother about any abnormality otherwise she will be devastated especially when the outcome happens to be normal.

Medical terminology: 28 week sonogram or 28 week old infant? If the medical resident was concerned that these might my indicators of an underlying problem then this may be quite appropriate. In medicine we used words a little differently than many. For instance, a woman became upset when her breast were described as "unremarkable" - this is just how we indicate they are normal.
