A member asked:

What are the symptomatic differences between anal cancer and anal fissures. or are there any?

Why do you ask?: Please forgive my frankness. Don't try to make the distinction yourself. A suspicion of either is sufficient reason to see your personal physician without delay. A fissure tends to be painful while a cancer tends to produce a mass that will be less painful early-on, but this is unreliable. You need to be seen. Best wishes.
