Tooth extraction: How long ago was the extraction? Are you on antibiotics? Follow up with your dentist and ask about antibiotics. You have to follow with dentist and make sure it is not an infection,as that can travel to the brain.

Infection: You need to see a dentist for your problem. Lancing a fistula and taking antibiotics will not resolve anything over the long run.

Be patient: Swelling should subside almost entirely within 7-10 days after infected tooth extraction. Take NSAIDs OTC for inflammation and pain control.
