Conundrum: The tricky issue with chlamydia infection is that once it has been treated testing can come back positive for up to three weeks even though treatment was successful. if a test for chlamydia was done three weeks after treatment and and it comes back positive, then you either have been reinfected, which can only happen by means of sexual intercourse, or the treatment was not successful.
