A member asked:

She got he 5th month ultrasound and doctors gave this note a marginal placental cord insertion is seen today, far removed from the lower uterine segm?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Okay: This usually causes no problems as long as it is away from the cervix i.e. thr lower uterine segment and actually in the placenta even if it is the margin of the placenta. It is much more worrisome if it is a "velamentous" insertion into the membranes.
