Not good and need to: seen by her doctor to assess. Any swollen lower extremities that are painful is considered a medical emergency. So go to your urgent care clinic or to the ER. Especially with a history of diabetic neuropathy and other neurological conditions, this is something that probably cannot wait. You do not want to overlook stress fractures or clots. Have someone go with you to the doctor.
