Usually not: In children with EDS, excessive bruising is often the presenting complaint to the pediatrician. Hematological studies including evaluation of clotting factors, platelet aggregation and bleeding time are usually normal in patients with EDS, Capillary fragility is usually cause of bruising in EDS.Generalized vascular fragility largely dominates the clinical picture.
