Depends: If you are losing weight and are nauseated and vomiting, you may be dehydrated and need IV fluids. Some women just don't feel like eating in the first half of pregnancy and lose weight even though they are not vomiting. This isn't known to harm baby. Most women will gain weight after 20 weeks. A good target is a pound a week. Best wishes!
