Don't worry: Worry will not help anything - but an exam might. That it comes and goes w/ the sinus problem (infection) may suggest lymph node activity, but reassurance from a doctor makes sense if it does begin to hurt or stays enlarged. Best!

Lymph node: What you describe sounds very much like a lymph node. Lymph nodes tend to get larger when there is an infection nearby. Lymph nodes in the neck get larger when there is an infection in the head. A lymph node that you can feel for months (i.e. it gets smaller but you can still feel it), may be a sign of a chronic infection.
