How long?: How long has it been hurting? Do you have fever, nausea, diarrhea or vomiting? If it just started and you have an antacid like Tums (calcium carbonate) or Mylanta try it. If no better soon (in an hour) go to the ER. If fever, vomiting, pain has been there for a couple of hours without relief, go to the ER. Only sips of caffeine free liquids, like water for now till better, or cleared by ER.

Depends: on what is causing the pain Jason. If I were you, try a Tums or Zantac (ranitidine) now. Avoid Ibuprofen, Aleve, Naproxen and other "NSAIDS". It may be more serious than we think, and you might need urgent evaluation since I don't know the symptoms you are experiencing. If I were you, see your doctor to figure out what is going on. If your pain is severe, go in immediately. Best of luck.

Don't know reason: for pain but if you have severe abdominal pain than emergent evaluation is warranted.

What are you asking?: We can help if we know: what symptoms you are experiencing, where they localize, for how long, with what intensity, aggrevating factors, past evaluation, results, what has been ruled out, what medications or treatments you've tried, etc. You've given us no information to work with, but we are happy to hear more & attempt to help you. At this point we can't tell your discomfort is of gut origin.

Depends what you: feeling, what you just ate? When you ate? What types of food you ate? If the pain doesn't stop and is an 8/10, you need to go to Urgent Care or the ER to be evaluated versus testing different home remedies. If you feel nauseous, vomiting, then you need to go the ER now. Some caustic chemicals should not be vomited or it will damage the lining of your esophagus.
