Laryngitis: Laryngitis is swelling and irritation (inflammation) of the voice box (larynx). Laryngitis is usually associated with hoarseness or loss of voice. Treatment depends on the cause. If viral, resting the voice and yourself, and increasing fluids will help..If bacterial, do the same, but you may need an antibiotic as well. Good luck.
