Go to the ER: With the recent placement of the IUD, you need to make sure the pain is not secondary to that. The only way to find out is to see a DR and have exam and labs done.

Call the doctor: I recommend that you call the doctor who inserted the IUD. You do need to be seen and a urinalysis needs to be checked. This could be done at an urgent care clinic rather than the emergency room but the doctor who inserted the IUD also needs to know about this. Good luck.

No relation: there is no relation between IUD and interstitial cystitis interstitial cystitis is more common than we tthought, under diagnosed, because the right diagnosis will required a cystoscopy and a biopsy by a urologist. usualy it get suspected when the patient has UTI symptoms but the urine is clean
