If i am pregnant 8 weeks post partrum will the bleeding lighten up?

Yes: If you are pregnant the bleeding will lighten but it should also lighten up if you are not pregnant. If you think you might be pregnant do a pregnancy test but if you haven't stopped bleeding since the delivery you need to see your doctor because you should not still be bleeding heavily enough to need it to lighten up. Good luck.

8 weeks postpartum?: Are you asking if you're pregnant while still bleeding, 8 weeks after having a baby? If so, make appointment with your OB/GYN for more accurate answer to you question. Have you gone for 6 weeks postpartum visit yet?

Are you pregnant?: You say "if" you are pregnant. If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. They are cheap, reliable and available at any pharmacy. If you are pregnant and bleeding then this needs prompt evaluation to rule out miscarriage and tubal pregnancy.
