Rebound hypertension: occurs with clonidine withdrawal. You are unlikely to have this having taken a single dose. Low blood pressure, however, can lead to orthostatic syncope. Do not arise from a reclining position without remaining seated for a few minutes to reduce the risk of this. The clonidine will wear off after 12 hours at most. Do not take Viagra (sildenafil) or nitrates for the next 12 hours.
