Any danger to spending the night at major us airport? heard more people are doing it now.

Not really: They are not the cleanest places around, and not very conducive to the rest needed for the difficulties of travel these days. But they are relatively secure. Watch your belongings, and stay in well-lit areas near activity. Personally, i'd go to the airport holiday inn.
