What will happen to people with the worst case of anemia?

Depends on type: there are many causes for anemia (low red blood count) most of them, if diagnosed and treated properly, should walk out of the hospital. Some times the anemia is due to a malignancy such as leukemia or lymphoma. Prognosis depends on the underlying disease.
