A member asked:

I am depressed. it seems like people ignore or dislike me. is that just my perception?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: Most likely. When someone is depressed, he/she tends to perceive things around him/her as negative. For example, you might think someone is ignoring you but in reality the person was busy paying attention to something else. Or they may have said something they meant as informative but you thought it was hurtful. If you are depressed, talk to someone you trust about how you are feeling.
