Night blindness: Nyctalopia is a result of diseases of the eye affecting ones ability to see at night or relatively dim conditions. The most common cause is Retinitis pigmentosa. Increasingly refractive eye surgery (LASIK) can affect night vision. Other causes: CSNB, vit A deficiency, retinal detachment, cataract, phenothiazines, macular degeneration, pathological myopia.
