Deliver anesthesia: The anesthesia machine main function is to safely deliver anesthetic gas and oxygen via a breathing circruit to the patient. As a result it is combined with a ventilator (which can be also be used without delivering inhaled anesthetics). Anesthesia machines have many layers of safety mechanisms and now have many advanced features such as CO2 elimination, safe wastage of anesthetic gas.
