A member asked:

What is the dosage of dobutamine for chf / refractory hypotension?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dobutamine: Dobutamine increases cardiac output by reducing systemic vascular resistance and by increasing the rate and force of contraction of the heart. This sometimes results in a higher BP and sometimes in a lower BP so the drug can't be reliably be used to increase BP. Typical doses for CHF are 0-10 mg/kg/minute
