A spondyloarthroathy: Enteropathic arthritis occurs when someone has a gastrointestinal infection with Shigella, salmonella, campylobacter, Yersinia and other dysentery causing agents. It is not an infection of the joint but a reaction to the infection and can involve the spine and peripheral joints. Some have also included ulcerative colitis and chrohns disease as well.
