It's a procedure: Microlaryngoscopy refers to a procedure where a patient is put to sleep and a Laryngoscope (sort of a hollow tube) is placed in the mouth. The voice box and throat are then examined with the help of a microscope. If the doctor sees anything abnormal, a piece can be taken (biopsy) and sent for analysis.
