Depends on size: Large nasal polyps are generally surgically removed by ENT surgeons. Sometimes small nasal polyps are treated with topical nasal steroid sprays. Nasal polyps are associated with poor sense of smell, recurrent sinus infections and aspirin allergy in adults.
