Tooth extraction: It is possible to have a Tooth extracted if you are taking Fosamax (alendronate) however saving the tooth may be a safer option for some patients. Your dentist or oral surgeon will take a detailed history including the length of time you have been taking Fosamax (alendronate), and sometimes a blood test is done. Discuss this with your dentist or oral surgeon prior to the extraction.

See an oral surgeon: If you are taking fosamax (alendronate) and need to have a dental procedure, such as an extraction, talk to your doctor about reducing the dose or stopping the medication at least for a while. See an oral surgeon even for a simple extraction.
