Transient global: amnesia: sudden, temporary episode of memory loss not attributed to a common neurological condition(epilepsy, stroke). It is rare, brief, seemingly harmless, unlikely to recur. It is the inability to form new memories and to recall the recent past. Causes include emotional experience, head injury, strenuous physical activity, medical procedures, sexual intercourse. If sudden confusion seek eval.
