What does "normal echogenicity of bilateral thyroid glands and isthmus" mean?

Thyroid ultrasound: This sounds like the description of a normal thyroid gland. Normal echogenicity means the texture is normal. Bilateral = both sides. Isthmus is the thin strand of thyroid tissue between the 2 lobes.
