What causes maglinant/benign tertian malaria?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Malaria parasites: There are different species of malaria parasite. Classically, some were associated with different 'forms' of malaria. Malaria has cycles of sudden chills with shivering, followed by fever and sweating. When it occurs every 2 days (tertian fever) that could be P. vivax and P. ovale. When it's every 3 days -that's (quartan fever) caused by P. malariae. Finally, P. falciparum causes continuous fever
